Organizers of this year’s Saskatchewan Summer Games being hosted in Lloydminster from Jul. 21-27 are continuing to issue the call for more volunteers.
The support is needed to be an ambassador for the city as the future sports talent of the province will be making their mark in the Border City.
Organizers are saying they are at about 400 volunteers but need to get to about 1,000.
“Volunteer for at least one shift. Maybe the entire week. It does not matter your age. Just drop by, and fill in the form. You will need to complete a security check with the RCMP,” says Mayor Gerald Aalbers.
The mayor is encouraging people to reach out to the city, and the games office as he continues to urge people to get onboard.
“These are future Olympians that we are hosting in our city and the opportunity for them to say they had a great time in Lloydminster,” adds Aalbers.
The registration to volunteer may be accessed online or even by using the computers at the Lloydminster Public Library.
