Victim in Monday’s shooting has died, more charges likely: RCMP

The victim in the shooting that took place in Lloydminster on the night of Monday, May 27, died at hospital.

RCMP are confirming that 19-year-old Nicholas Scott, succumbed to his injuries, early on the morning of May 31, at City Hospital in Saskatoon. The shooting took place outside an apartment building on the Saskatchewan side of Lloydminster.

The suspect has not been named, but police have indicated that he is nearly 18-years old.

An autopsy is scheduled at hospital in Saskatoon, and following the results, additional charges are likely to be laid, say police.

Meanwhile, the Scott family says Nicholas was a kind-hearted young man who valued family above all.

In a GoFundMe post, they have also indicated that his organs were donated to eight recipients.
