The Lakeland College Vermilion Campus will host two graduation exercises on Friday, June 7.
Some 450 candidates will be at the convocation for degree, diploma, and certificate programs. About 170 graduates were recognized at the Lloydminster ceremony on May 31.
The 10 a.m. ceremony will include graduands from human services, environmental sciences, fire and emergency services, and trades and technology. The 2:30 p.m. ceremony will include graduands from agricultural sciences.
The President’s Medal (Vermilion campus) is given to a graduate who has demonstrated excellence in academics and leadership in student activities. This year’s Vermilion campus recipient is Kyla Krahn, graduating with an agribusiness diploma.
The Governor General Medal (Vermilion campus) is presented to a graduate with the highest GPA. This year’s Vermilion campus recipient is Madeleine Hayes, who is graduating with a child and youth care counsellor diploma.
Both ceremonies will be broadcast online.
