The annual Streetfest will give attendees a first look at the upgrades to downtown Lloydminster on Saturday, June 8.
The City says landscapers are advancing with activities to plant trees and flowers as part of the downtown beautification effort. Crosswalks at the intersection of 50 Avenue and 50 Street are completed to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility.
Streetfest begins with a pancake breakfast at the Olive Tree Community Centre from 9 – 11 a.m.
At the end of the festivity, 50 Avenue and 50 Street intersection will open to motorists. However, 50 Street between 50 Avenue and 49 Avenue will remain closed until the remainder of the work is completed, on June 14, weather permitting.
