The Writ has been dropped for Saskatchewan’s 30th General Election which will be on Monday, October 28th.
Premier Scott Moe on Tuesday, Oct. 1 asked Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty to dissolve the Legislative Assembly and issue the Writs of Election.
In the Lloydminster riding, incumbent Colleen Young for the Sask Party, and NDP candidate Adam Tremblay who teaches in Paradise Hill will face the polls. Meanwhile, in Cut Knife-Turtleford, rancher, James Thorsteinson and mechanical engineer, Clayton Poole will seek your vote.
The candidate nomination deadline is October 12, 2024, at 2 p.m., so technically there is time for that list to change.
The Sask Party has 43, and the NDP has 14 seats heading into the election. There are three independents and one vacant seat.
