LRHF’s Heartbeat of the Community to bring AEDs to Lloydminster

The Lloydminster Region Health Foundation has announced a new initiative targeting cardiac health. The Heartbeat of the Community initiative is bringing 35 automatic defibrillators to Lloydminster senior homes and lodges by the end of the year.
Roughly 1 in 1,000 people per year  over the age of 35 have used AEDs. Combining an AED with CPR can improve the survivability of cardiac arrest by at least 75%.
