Remembrance Day Legion events

On November 11 for Remembrance Day, the Royal Canadian Legion branches in Lloydminster and around the region will host events to honour veterans, with attendees being asked to be seated at 10:45 a.m.

In Frenchman Butte, as Saskatchewan is one hour ahead of Lloydminster, the service will start at 10 a.m. Alberta time, which is 11 a.m. CST. Also, the Legion will host its banquet on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 6 p.m.

In Wainwright, the Legion is observing Indigenous Veterans’ Day on Friday, Nov. 8. The event will include wreath making and wreath laying, followed by dinner, from 2 to 8 p.m.

The Legion will also hold its Veterans’ Dinner on Sat., Nov. 9 with cocktails at 5 p.m.

In Vermilion, the Legion will host its Remembrance Day parade and wreath laying at the Cenotaph from 10:45 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11.

In Lloydminster, the Legion will host its Remembrance Day Service at the new auditorium, Synergy Place in the Lloydminster Comprehensive. Guests are to be seated by 10:45 a.m. MST.
