RCMP investigate series of break and enters

Maidstone RCMP are urging citizens to ensure to lock their doors.

On May 15, 2016 police responded to several break and enters in the Sandy Beach Regional Park and the surrounding area of the rural municipality of Britannia, including a theft of a truck.

A 2011 Ford F250 King Ranch was stolen as well as personal electronics, particularly cell phones, hunting and fishing gear, alcohol, gift cards, and a safe.

The vehicle was recovered a short time later by Lloydminster RCMP, abandoned near 57 Street, after having been used in a series of thefts nearby Lloydminster.

Police are asking anyone who might have information about these thefts to come forward, to contact Maidstone RCMP 306-893-4800 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

RCMP are reminding the public to secure all vehicles by both removing all valuable items and locking it up. In addition, if you’re away from your residence or cabin for an extended period of time, try to get a family member or friend to check on the residence periodically, in order to deter thieves.
