Five men arrested for home invasion in Unity

Five men have been arrested in Lloydminster for a home invasion in Unity. Early Saturday afternoon, Unity RCMP were called to a fight in a residence. The police found 3 victims, 1 man and 2 women suffering from being sprayed with bear mace, and one with cuts on his head after being hit with a bottle. Lloydminster and Maidstone RCMP later stopped a car as it was entering Lloydminster on highway 16, and arrested four of the suspects. A fifth man from Unity was arrested Tuesday. The suspects are all in their 20s, and some of them were known to the victims. They face multiple charges, including break and enter, assault with a weapon, and possession of a prohibited weapon. The crime is not believed to be random.
