4-H Alberta gets boost from TD Bank

A new $25,000 partnership between 4-H Alberta and TD Bank aims to boost financial literacy among youth across the province.

The funding, provided through TD’s Ready Commitment program, will offer valuable resources and educational opportunities to 4-H members.

The initial investment will grow to $40,000 in the second year, expanding learning opportunities year after year.

The Financial Confidence program will provide educational webinars, workshops, and resources to over 5,700 youth and nearly 4,000 families. The program will launch in January 2025 with a webinar series and in-person workshops later in the year.

It will expand further in 2026, offering even more opportunities for financial education.

Organizers see the collaboration as helping youth across Alberta develop stronger financial confidence and literacy, preparing them for future success as leaders in their communities.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
