Maidstone RCMP have stopped another local driving vastly exceeding the speed limit.
Recently, a driver was stopped and charged doing 160 kilometers per hour, on a highway posted at 110. Last week, a driver from Lloydminster was stopped for driving 35 kilometers over the speed limit, at 145 km/h, on highway 16 near Maidstone. The resulting fine was $340.00
RCMP continue to remind motorists to obey posted speed limits.
Maidstone RCMP responded 104 calls between May 1st and the 7th, the most common calls related to break and enter, fire, and impaired drivers.
