Lloydminster police have seized 28 grams of meth, 14 grams of Fentanyl, about $2,000 cash, a stolen car, and drug trafficking paraphernalia, and charged a suspect.
The seizure was made on Dec. 19 following an investigation by Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) into suspected drug trafficking activities.
John Penney, a 55-year-old resident of Lloydminster, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession for the purposes of trafficking Methamphetamine
- Possession for the purposes of trafficking Fentanyl
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
Penney was taken before a justice of the peace and was released on conditions. He is to return to Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster on Jan. 14, 2024.
