The City of Lloydminster has spent nearly $59 million of some $101 million budgeted for the new hockey arena as of Nov. 2024.
As of November 30, 2024, $58,776,985 of the $101,306,176 budget has been spent.
The Cenovus Energy Hub is on track to open this fall, says the city. Also, a contingency plan is being developed if no funding comes from the Alberta government which has its budget planned for February.
The city says the details of its next steps will be brought to council in the first quarter.
The next quarterly update is scheduled for a GPC meeting in February.
