Wheatfield Inn Bar in Kitscoty robbed

Kitscoty RCMP are seeking the culprit in a recent armed robbery.

Yesterday afternoon, around 4:30, police were dispatched to the site of the robbery: the Wheatfield Inn Bar in Kitscoty.

A lone male reportedly entered the bar through the back door. He sat briefly at a VLT machine before going up to the bar to ask an employee for change.

When the bartender opened the cash register, the man produced a can of bear spray and demanded the money from the till.

A struggle ensued resulting the bartender getting sprayed in the face.

The suspect fled the bar with an undisclosed amount of cash and was seen driving away from the scene in a white SUV with Saskatchewan plates.

The male is described as a thin, white man, between 5’10” and 6′ tall, with a shaved head (and evidently, balding).

If you have any information regarding the crime that may assist police in their investigation, contact Kitscoty RCMP at 780-846-2870. Or, if you wish to remain anonymous, make your report to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
