Hockey fans of the border city won’t be waiting too long to see the Lloydminster Junior A Bobcats back in action.

The team is set to take on the Bonnyville Pontiacs for a pre-season exhibition game on August 31, 2016.

In the 11 days that follow initial pre-season match-up, the Bobcats will continue to shake off any rust since the RBC Cup in May, in 5 additional pre-seasoners.

The regular season starts Friday, September 16. As is tradition, the Bobcats are slated to take on the Pontiacs in their first regular season game, and as last year, they will do so on the road. It will be the team’s 35th consecutive season of Junior A hockey for Lloydminster.
