Open Farm Days in Alberta, Saskatchewan in August

Alberta and Saskatchewan will both have Open Farm Days in August.

In Saskatchewan you can circle the weekend of August 9-10.

In Alberta, the ag celebration will be August 16-17.

In both provinces, the two day affair will see farms being opened for the public to visit and learn about the process of growing the food that we eat.

The goal of the event is to promote a deeper understanding of daily farm life, an appreciation of agriculture, and greater knowledge of where our food comes from.

Both provinces are signing up farms that are willing to open their operations for the public to visit over the two days.

Guests will be able to go to the provincial websites and select the farms that they would like to visit and get information to plan their agriculture adventure.

More details are available on the provincial websites for Alberta and Saskatchewan.
