Outdoor pool hosts grand-opening celebration

The City has announced the “official” opening date for the outdoor pool.

Although the pool is technically already open for the summer, the Lloydminster Outdoor Pool is hosting its grand-opening celebration on Wednesday, July 6.

From 1-3 p.m., pool staff will be handing out free treats and hosting games for children. As well, all children ages 2-12 will be entered into a draw for a free season pass for the outdoor pool.

The pool is located at 4713 57 Avenue. Last year, the pool underwent several renovations, which included new flooring, the addition of two new slides, and new windows and other upgrades to the men’s and women’s change rooms.

Lloydminster’s Outdoor Pool offers a variety of programs, including Red Cross Swimming Lessons and water aerobics for swimmers of all ages.
