Lloydminster Public Library event spreading the word about stomach cancer

The Canadian Cancer Society is partnering with the Lloydminster Public Library for an event this evening. The event is called Spice up your Life, and will feature a live cooking demo by the executive chef at the Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre Jim Armstrong, along with registered dietician with the Lloydminster Primary Care Group Kendre Howard. The event is meant to educate people on the risk of cooking with salt, which can cause stomach cancer.
Armstrong’s cooking demo will show attendees how to cook with different herbs and spices to flavour their foods as an alternative to salt. The event will begin at 6 PM in the Lloydminster Public Library at the Atrium Centre.
