Falk, Stubbs returning to Ottawa

In the unofficial tally, 77 per cent of voters in Battlefords–Lloydminster–Meadow Lake, cast their ballot for Rosemarie Falk, in the April 28 Federal Elections.

In the Lakeland, 81.3 per cent of voters gave their approval for Shannon Stubbs.

Falk, in a statement, indicated she was honoured to accept the voters’ nod.

“I’m deeply honoured and humbled that voters in the newly redistributed riding of Battlefords–Lloydminster–Meadow Lake have once again placed their trust in me to represent them in Ottawa,” said the MP-elect. “Thank you to every voter, volunteer, and supporter who made this victory possible. Your dedication and belief in our Conservative message helped deliver this win. I will continue to fight every day to be a strong voice for our communities and stand up for the values we share.”

With respect to the Liberal Party getting the vote to form a minority government, the Conservative Party candidate expressed the disappointment and frustration of her supporters.

“I know this is not the national result we hoped for, and I share the frustration and concern that so many Canadians are feeling after a decade of Liberal mismanagement,” Falk continued. “Under Liberal policies, food prices have surged, housing costs have doubled, and violent crime and disorder have been unleashed across our communities. Meanwhile, the government continues to block resource industries that could and should be powering our economy.”

Falk maintains her belief in Canada.

“I believe in the strength and determination of this country. I will continue to fight every single day to restore the Canadian promise—that hard work earns you a great life with affordable food and homes on a safe street, under our proud Canadian flag.”

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
