Lloydminster RCMP say charges are pending after three suspects were taken into custody following a police chase along Highway 16.
On Thursday, May 1, at about 9:00 a.m., Lloydminster RCMP responded to a 911 call about a break and enter in progress at a business on the west side of the city.
Lloydminster RCMP members, Alberta RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS), and Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS), were called in.
Police arrested one suspect at the scene. Two other suspects fled the area in a vehicle, striking a police vehicle during their escape. No officers were injured.
Shortly after, the duo was arrested near Rolling Greens Golf Course. The investigation remains ongoing.
Police indicate that charges will be announced once they complete the investigation.
