One man dead following crash near Biggar

A fatal accident happened over the weekend.

On Saturday, June 25, Biggar RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision, around 9:30 a.m., involving a semi-truck and an SUV. The male driver of the SUV died as a result.

The accident was on Highway 14, 2 miles east of Biggar.

Police had to close both lanes of traffic at the scene and they are still unsure what caused the accident, but it is under investigation.

The deceased driver’s name has not yet been released.
