Housing, Homelessness Symposium, Wednesday

The Housing & Homelessness Symposium gets underway at the Nissan Hall, Lloyd Ex on Wednesday, May 7.

The full discussions come against the backdrop of rising homelessness across the country and, in Lloydminster, 246 people experiencing homelessness on the night of Oct. 23, 2024.

The sessions will have real life experiences of homelessness being shared alongside conversations on the Housing Needs Assessment & Strategy, an understanding of Indigenous homelessness, root causes of homelessness and hope for recovery.

The day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. There is a dinner and awards from 5:30 p.m.
