Some Lloydminster students are in the spotlight after last week’s Provincial Skills Canada contest in Edmonton.
At Lloyd Comp one student is bringing back gold and moving on with Team Alberta to nationals. Six of the top nine finishes in Electrical Installation were Lloyd Comp students.

Also placing Jade Ezumah (Job Skill Demonstration), Arvinn Rebollido (Photography), Christina Smiley (Public Speaking), Valentina Corredor (IT Office Software), Isaac Jurke (Welding), Connor Cherney (Carpentry).
At Lakeland College, Logan Peters has a gold in Carpentry, and will join Team Alberta for Nationals. Braden Kereliuk is also making the cut with a gold in Steam Pipe Fitting. Lexi Lundquist got silver in Hairstyling.
Also placing at the post-secondary level were Deyton Selte (Carpentry), Sheldon Mailhot (Electrical), Mila Jubinville-Morin (Hairstyling), Jerome Unger (Heavy Equipment), Rain Fleming (Aesthetics).
