UPDATE: Ministikwan woman rescued, suspect taken into custody

Second Update:

Police have located both Michael Bouvier and his victim in a rural area near Loon Lake, Saskatchewan.

The victim is safe and being assessed by EMS personnel.

Michael Bouvier has been taken into custody.

The Dangerous Person Alert issued by the Saskatchewan RCMP for the Loon Lake area has been cancelled.

Police continue to investigate and thank the public for their assistance in this matter.

UPDATE: Saskatchewan RCMP issue a dangerous person alert. They have identified the suspect as 24-year old Michael Bouvier.

Bouvier is described as:

  • Five feet seven inches tall
  • Weighs 215 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair

He may be driving a black Dodge Caravan van with a deflated front tire, with Saskatchewan license plate 580 LXY, or a 2009 black Dodge Journey SUV with Saskatchewan license plate 412 NPF.

Saskatchewan RCMP are asking you to be on the look out for a man who may be holding a woman against her will.

On Thursday, May 15, at about 11:00 p.m., Loon Lake RCMP received a report that a woman was potentially being held against her will on Island Lake First Nation (Ministikwan).

Investigators say a 24-year-old woman is believed to be in the company of a man  who has a gun. They may be travelling in a black Dodge Caravan van with a deflated front tire, with Saskatchewan license plate 580 LXY, or a 2009 black Dodge Journey SUV with Saskatchewan license plate 412 NPF. They may be heading towards the Loon Lake area, but their current whereabouts are unknown.

Loon Lake RCMP are actively working to locate teh woman to determine her safety and are asking members of the public to report all sightings of her and information on her whereabouts.

She is described as:

  • Five feet six inches
  • 110 pounds
  • Brown eyes, and light-brown dyed hair.

She was last seen with her hair in a ponytail and wearing a burgundy-coloured hoodie, blue jeans, and black and white Converse runners. She has a tattoo of a feather on her forearm with script.

The man she is believed to be with is described as 24-years-old. He is about five feet seven inches tall and weighs 215 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

If you see the black Dodge Caravan, or black Dodge Journey, Jasmine, or the man, do not approach.
