Lloyd Comp Barons will look to punch their ticket to rugby provincials when they host an afternoon of rugby on Wednesday, May 28 at the school’s west field.
The ASAA Northeast zone provincial qualification match against Cold Lake will be at 4:00 p.m., and the winner will advance to the 15s Provincials in Lethbridge, June 6-7.
The rugby celebration includes all the teams in the LPSD and hundreds of players from around the region. The schedule is:
- ES Laird Sabres vs Bishop Lloyd Lancers – 3:30 p.m.
- LCHS Barons vs Cold Lake Rebels – 4:00 p.m.
- Mini Rugby scrimmages and drills led by Rivers West – 5:30 p.m.
- Touch rugby with Lloydminster Reapers – 6:15 p.m.
The event is open to everyone to attend, even to experience rugby for the first time.
