Lions hand out cheques to Lloydminster non-profits

Local non-profits are singing the praises of the Lloydminster Lions as the service club is sharing the wealth from its fundraising efforts.

The groups benefitting are:

  • Lloydminster and Area Early Years Coalition – $500
  • LCHS Barons Football – $500
  • Lloydminster Sexual Assault Services – $500
  • Kiwanis Music Festival – $300
  • Lloydminster Minor Hockey – $500
  • Explosion Cheer Academy –  $500

The donations were handed out at the Lions regular social meeting at which representatives from the Lloydminster Sexual Assault Services shared on its various programs. The group also updated the Lions on the work to repair its 100-year old building which is home to its programs.

The Lloydminster Lions are preparing for their next fundraiser which is the golf tournament on June 13.
