Concerned Seniors collect over 2K signatures

The Lloydminster Concerned Citizens for Seniors Care has collected over 2,000 signatures in its letter writing campaign to advocate for a new Jubilee Home.

The letters will be delivered to MLA Colleen Young who will be tasked to present the bundle to the Saskatchewan health minister.

The 50-bed Jubilee Home facility was built in 1985 to replace a previous building from 1958. The proposed replacement will have 180 spaces.

You may add your signature to the petition to support a new seniors facility on the Saskatchewan side of Lloydminster, by going to the Legacy Centre for more information.

Also, you may access and print the letter using this online link to the Health Minister’s letter.

The proposal document for replacing the Jubilee was sent to the health minister last fall.

The Lloydminster Concerned Citizens for Seniors Care will hold its AGM on June 16.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
