Vermilion RCMP is charging a woman as the suspect following its investigation into three incidents.
On June 7, Vermilion RCMP responded to a complaint of a break and enter in progress at a rural home in the Vermilion River County.
The alarm system had alerted the homeowner to suspicious activity, who then contacted 911. When officers arrived the suspect had already left. Police reviewed the video and identified a suspect.
On June 11, Vermilion RCMP responded to a complaint of two separate break and enters at a home in Mannville.
Investigators then linked the suspect to the June 7 break and enter.
Keisha Sharp, a 28-year-old from Mannville, was arrested and charged with:
- Three counts of break and enter to a dwelling-house
- Two counts failure to comply with a probation order
- Tow counts of mischief under $5,000
Sharp was brought before a justice of the peace, where she was released on conditions. She is to return to Alberta Court of Justice in Vermilion on July 7.
