The parade float from the Town of Wainwright has won this year’s best overall float at the Lloyd Ex Parade.
The float, depicting Wainwright’s century-old, iconic clock tower, was a solid pick for the judges.
Yesterday’s parade saw 103 floats from Lloydminster and surrounding areas make their way through the downtown area in about two hours.
Residents began to line the streets from about 9:00 a.m., grabbing the best vantage spots to witness the start of the summer festival.
The Lloyd Ex Fair, celebrating 120 years, is now underway in the border city.
