Meadow Lake RCMP are looking for a fleeing driver in a hit and run that happened back on July 23rd.
The fatal collision involved a pedestrian. Around 5 in the morning that day, police got a call about a pedestrian who had allegedly been struck by a vehicle on the Matchee-Need Road about 20 kilometers east of Meadow Lake.
A 24-year-old male from Flying Dust First Nation was pronounced dead at the scene and an autopsy was conducted. As the vehicle did not stay at the scene, the investigation is ongoing.
