Battlefords RCMP Daily Report highlights

Battlefords RCMP have released their daily report detailing their response to 49 calls for service over a 24-hour period from the morning of Tuesday, August 23 at 06:00 to Wednesday, August 24, 06:00.

Members handled 1 call of fireworks, initially reported as gunshots; 1 false alarm; 12 disturbance calls relating to intoxicated persons; 2 reports of missing persons, both now located; 4 calls of thefts from vehicles; 2 false 911 calls; and 1 traffic collision.

Notable reports included a complaint of 5 calves running in a ditch near Delmas; a complaint of a truck driving erratically on Saulteaux First Nation; police also attended the scene of a single vehicle rollover on Highway 16 at Highgate Rail Crossing, west of Battleford. A 42-year-old female involved in the collision received minor injuries. WPD Ambulance attended the scene as well to treat the occupant.

Yesterday, police also responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from Red Pheasant First Nation. The vehicle has been located, but police continue to investigate.
