Operation Christmas Child underway in Lloydminster

Operation Christmas Child is officially underway. The gift drive, held by Samaritan’s Purse, is for children in third world countries. Participants fill shoe boxes with a mix of gifts and school supplies for children of various age ranges, and they are delivered overseas to the less fortunate.
Last year, more than 6400 shoe boxes were collected from the Lloydminster region. Shoe boxes can be picked up from many churches and schools in Lloydminster, as well as Verses and Your Dollar Store With More. Boxes can also be filled online at samaritanspurse.ca. Collection week for the boxes is November 17th to 22nd.
