Three face charges in vehicle theft and fleeing police

Three local area individuals are facing a number of charges following a spree of entering unlocked vehicles, then stealing a vehicle, and fleeing police.

According to Maidstone RCMP, on August 21, 2016 at around 9:44 p.m., the Corner Store in Lashburn was broken into by an adult male, an adult female, and a youth male causing damage to the store and theft of property under $5,000.

The following day, between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 2:00 a.m., the Lashburn Corner Store was broken into again. Cartons and packages of cigarettes, chew tobacco, pop, chips, candy, surveillance system, and computer were all taken, with damages totaling in excess of $21,000.00.

The three suspects proceeded to go around the Town of Lashburn checking vehicles that were open. Approximately 4 camper trailers and between 10-15 vehicles were entered. Only two have been reported to police. The three suspects found a vehicle with the keys inside and stole the vehicle, which they then drove to Lloydminster. RCMP located the vehicle in Lloydminster and the vehicle fled after an attempt was made to stop the vehicle.
