Smile Cookie campaign raises thousands

The total amount raised by the local Tim Hortons franchise’s Smile Cookie campaign has been released.

According to Kidsport Lloydminster board member Malcolm Radke, a total of $17,129 was raised during the fundraiser, which saw $1 cookies with a smile drawn in icing sold across the community for a week last month, with 100 per cent of the Lloydminster sales going to Kidsport.

Kidsport is a group which helps to support minor sports for youth in the Border City.

The money was presented to the group in a cheque presentation this morning.
