Lloydminster detachment nets drug traffickers

Four people have been charged by police in relation to drug trafficking in Lloydminster.

According to a news release sent out on Thursday from the local detachment, police executed a search warrant on Friday, October 7, in the 5200 block of 35 Street. With a combination of forces from the general duty members, the Police Dog Service team, and the Lloydminster General Investigations Section, six people were located in the residence that the warrant was served on, and arrested.

Evidence of drug trafficking was found in the home, in addition to a pair of rifles, one of which was confirmed to be stolen, 4.5 grams of methamphetamine, and a total of 25 grams of cocaine, which was weighted in various packages.

As a result of the investigation, 33 year old Amber Eyben (Cawthorpe), 27 year old Jared Reidel, 25 year old Jazmyne Night, and 30 year old Dorion Taylor have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm obtained by crime, possession of morphine, possession of oxycodone, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property under $5000 and possession of break in instruments.

32 year old Shauna Blueeyes of Lloydminster was charged with possession of cocaine and breaching her release conditions, and released from custody with a court date of December 13, 2016.

Reidel was also additionally charged with 9 counts of breaching release conditions, he was remanded in custody with his next appearance being on October 18, 2016 in Lloydminster.

Night was also additionally charged with 2 counts of breaching release conditions, she was granted bail and will next appear on November 1, 2016.

Eyben (Cawthorpe) and Taylor were granted bail and will also appear next on November 1, 2016.
