Lloydminster heads to the polls

Election day is tomorrow.

Voting to determine the next mayor and council of City of Lloydminster, as well as the trustees for the Lloydminster Catholic School Division, will kick off tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.

Polls will close at 8:00 p.m., and the unofficial results will be posted on the website of the municipal government. The official results will be declared at City Hall the following day, at 12:00 noon.

A full map of the polling areas in Lloydminster is included with this story. Residents are encouraged to vote in the polling area which they reside in.

Advance polls were conducted over the weekend over the weekend. According to both Acting City Clerk Doug Rodwell and observations by 106.1 The Goat, the turnout was good, though exact numbers are not available.
