Three Lloydminster residents charged with drug trafficking

Three people from the Border City have been charged with an array of offenses related to the drug trade.
According to a news release issued by the Lloydminster RCMP on Monday afternoon, police were conducting patrols in the city in the early hours on Sunday morning when they came across a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was checked by police, who found a small caliber rifle and ammunition from other firearms inside.
In addition to the firearm and ammunition, a subsequent search netted drug trafficking paraphernalia and $3000 in cash, as well as 31 grams of methamphetamine and 24 grams of cocaine found on the person of one of the individuals.
The street value of the drugs is estimated at $5,500.00.
Charged for a variety of offenses are 18 year old Megan Hill, 34 year old Dustin Caplette and 36 year old Mark Parker all of the City of Lloydminster. All three have been charged with two counts of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three firearms offences, and possession of property obtained by crime.
A total of 29 charges were laid against the three.  All three will appear in court on November 15th, 2016 for their first appearance.
