The police will not be laying charges in the death of seven year old Nia Eastman.
According to a release issued by the Saskatchewan RCMP on Tuesday morning, the investigation by the Major Crimes Unit South into the deaths of Adam Jay Eastman and Nia Eastman is still continuing.
Autopsies of the deceased were completed on Monday, and it was determined that the causes of death were homicide and suicide. The specific causes of death were not released for either individual, and there was no evidence to suggest the involvement of any other party.
Police ended their statement by indicating no further details will be released in future, as no charges will be laid in the matter.
