Poll opening times to change during Daylight Savings Time

Voting times in Lloydminster’s by-election will open and close one hour earlier than usual. Saskatchewan’s Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Michael Boda has announced that since Lloydminster is the only Saskatchewan community that adopts Mountain Time and will be observing Daylight Savings Time, times for polls opening and closing will reflect those differences. November 2nd is the start of Daylight Savings Rime, and the first advance polls for the by-election open November 6th. Usually, polls on election day would open at 9 AM and close at 8 PM, but under daylight savings time, polls will open at 8 AM and close at 7 PM. The date of the election is November 17th.
