Fire destroys grain elevator in Turtleford

Fire has destroyed a grain elevator located in Turtleford.
A notice issued by the Turtleford RCMP close to 11 p.m. last night stated that Highway 26 had been blocked, due to smoke from the fire, as well as fire suppression efforts. At the time, they recommended detouring around the area via Highway 21.
The highway blockade was lifted at 5:00 in the morning, with fire crews still on scene at the elevator. Images posted to social media have shown that the structure has been reduced to a mound of blackened wreckage.
