Two Lloydminster men have been fined $5500 by the province of Saskatchewan for illegally harvesting trees. The two men were charged with unlawfully harvesting forest products without a permit, after they were reported to conservation officers through a tip on the Turn in Poachers line. The officers investigated, and found the two men transporting spruce trees in the back of their truck in the Pierceland area. One man was fined $5000, while his accomplice was fined $500. The men were reportedly planning to sell the trees for ornamental purposes.
