Police warning people of another phone scam

RCMP are warning people to be wary of the “family member in trouble” scam. This is the scam where a caller phones someone pretending to be a nephew or other relative, needing money for bail because they ended up in jail. Police are reminding people to remain aware of this potential fraud, and to contact police if you receive this type of call and not provide any money or information to any caller regardless of who they are claiming to be.
