The Lloydminster Walk and Run is still shy of participants, which may mean they will not hit the target goal of 190 thousand dollars this year. There are 300 participants signed up for the event this year and the organization was hoping for around 450 people to take part. Lakeland Regional Director Johanna Green says people need to take one moment to think about what people living with MS deal with on a daily basis, like not being able to get out of bed because of chronic pain. Green says despite the weather unpredictability, it will be a great day giving back. A flag raising ceremony was held Monday at city hall in honour of May being MS Awareness Month.
