Samaritan’s Purse is celebrating this year’s response to Operation Christmas Child.
Lloydminster and surrounding areas put together over 3,600 gift-filled shoe boxes for children in less fortunate countries. That’s an increase of over 460 from last year.
Launched in Western Canada this year, the initiative includes 500 gift boxes for displaced children in the Ukraine, among other causes.
The shoe boxes have been sent to the collection centre in Calgary, where they will be sorted and distributed.
