SUV Stolen, Crashed; Suspects Sniffed Out

Lloyminster RCMP is warning residents to keep an eye on their vehicles as they warm up outside. This comes after police had to track down an SUV stolen from a driveway in the city. The suspects attempted to evade police, but crashed into a parked car near 51st Avenue and 54th Street. When officers approached, two men jumped out of the vehicle and fled.  Police Dog Services later tracked them down as they hid underneath a train car, with one of the men holding a large knife.  The men did not comply when instructed to come out from under the car. They now face several charges, and will appear in court on January 20th. Both men are from Lloydminster.
