Two Men Arrested After Incident at Local Bar

Jeffory, 41, and Riley Cowan, 37, both from Lloydminster are facing multiple charges after an incident at bar in the 5200 block of 44 street on Friday night.
Lloydminster RCMP say they responded to a call of people fighting at a bar and stopped the fight, however while stopping the incident the two men allegedly began fighting with a police officer in the parking lot. The officer sustained non life threatening injuries.
Both men have been charged with assault on a police officer, causing a disturbance and resisting arrest. Riley Cowan has also been charged with an additional count of assault on a police officer for an incident that occurred while in custody.
They appeared before a Justice of the Peace and were released to appear in Alberta provincial court on July 11.
