Major Crimes Unit Investigating Death of Male at Frog Lake First Nation

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit-North (MCU) isĀ investigating a shooting that allegedly occurred on the Fishing Lake Metis Settlement.

Late yesterday evening, Elk Point RCMP responded to the incident, they say a male was found dead a short time later on the Frog Lake First Nation. No one else was injured.

Elk Point, St. Paul RCMP and the Forensic Identification Section are assisting the investigation.

RCMP say the the scene is being processed and witnesses have been identified and are being interviewed.Ā An autopsy has not been scheduled yet to determineĀ how the man died.

Police believe there is no risk to public safety atĀ this time.
