Kidsport will be giving away free hockey equipment at Winterfest. The charity says that they will set up a dressing room in the Servus Sports Centre full of skates, sticks and other equipment. Anyone under 18 can try it on and take it home for free. Volunteer board member Malcolm Radke says that the equipment is intended for the less fortunate. Radke also says that cost is the biggest barrier to enrolling in sports, so this donation should ease the financial burden. Winterfest will be happening from 10am to 2pm on Monday at the Servus Sports Centre.
