Vegreville-Wainwright MP Leon Benoit has called for proposals to fight violence against women. Benoit has asked for organizations to draw up proposals for a new program, titled ‘Working in Partnership to End Violence Against Women and Girls’. The program will provide funding to proposals that will help end the cycle of violence within their communities. The application can be found on the Status of Women in Canada’s website, and the deadline is April 17th.
