“I Love Alberta Boobs” makes final donation of the year

The “I Love Alberta Boobs” Lloydminster chapter has made their final donation of the year.

Over the last year the society has made helping the survivors of breast cancer in Lloydminster their main goal, but collecting donations into the “I Love Alberta Boobs Assistance Fund” and giving them by a nomination process. The donations are compiled with the help of the Lloydminster Health Foundation.  This last one went to Tammy Brittner, who received $500 dollars.

President Brandy Schwenk says the donations can help survivor in many ways.

“Four times a year we’re going to go through these applications and pick one or two or even more if we can recipients to donate the money to. Then they are free to use it however they choose. If it’s travel expenses, gas, food, lodging, baby sitters. What ever it is they’re in need of.”

Schwenk says that residents can help the Alberta Boobs society assist breast cancer survivors.

“We have our big concert fundraiser coming up, “Rock for a Cure” and that’s usually where we get most of our majority of our funds coming in. We’ve been getting a lot of cash donations just in the last couple of days with the awareness of what’s going on.”

Nominations and donations can be made on the “I Love Alberta Boobs” website.
